In the past 6 months the number of insurance company demands to have your prescriptions ‘preauthorized’ has skyrocketed. This is a bureaucratic layer that I can not see much value to you, but has to be done before your carrier will pay for your medications. Often these requests are on medications you have been on for a extended time already.

We will respond to these requests but due to their number I need to let you know that while we are not charging now for the time for my office staff puts in, that we need 2-4 days time to get to these done  in order of their arrival and that this service can only be provided Mondays through Thursday at 3pm As a rule we can not promise to do them on a same day as requested basis.
